TPV/EPDM is a double pour rubber surfacing system. It is comprised of a shredded black rubber cushion layer (SBR) and topped with a TPV or EPDM rubber wear course. This method is great for projects where vibrant colors, patterns, and designs in the surface are desired. To protect and to increase the longevity of the surface, we recommend having a Clean N Seal maintenance service done on this type of surface every one to two years. Like the bonded bark surface, this surface is ADA compliant, which makes this a great option for schools, public parks, and a variety of other applications where accessibility to play equipment is required.
